How does one rescue 45 dogs with less than 12 hours notice? Make a few calls to the rescue angels in Shih Tzu and Furbaby Rescue, and the vets and kennels who support us, and drive like you have wings! We were told there were 20, we expected 25 or so, but when, after driving 350 miles through the night, Sue and Renee arrived at the nice home in an upscale community, they found 17 little dogs living in the backyard, with no shelter. We were not permitted in the house, but more filthy, matted babies were passed through the bathroom window! When were were finished, we had 45 Shih Tzus of all ages, mostly in horrific condition. This was a true hoarding situation, not a puppymill.
