Amy is a 4-year-old, 18 lb. female Shih Tzu. She is a beautiful red color with dark mustache and ears. Amy is house trained when taken out regularly. This sweet girl is afraid of thunderstorms and doesn’t like getting rained on, so is also pee pad trained. Amy gets along with other dogs and cats. She rides well in the car, and walks on a leash but needs more practice, because she wants to go her own way! She is a sweetheart who loves attention, and food. Yes, she is a little chunky!
Amy is a special needs girl – she is vision impaired now and will probably lose much of her sight in the next few years. She belonged to a breeder who passed away, and came to us because she was heartworm positive and was losing her sight. She has been successfully treated for her heartworm disease, has seen our opthamologist for her eyes, and is ready to be loved and adored in her new forever home.
